Whilst carbon fiber weave has been used extensively in interior décor, forged carbon is still in its infancy as the material itself was only recently developed by Lamborghini for the manufacture of aero parts. As a designer, working with new materials is a privilege and a thrill. The impact created by the rawness of forged carbon is second to none, as the carbon filaments achieve an iridescence when viewed from different angles.
When this is coupled with the multiple facets of the chair it achieves the impact of black diamond refracting light in all directions. The finish is truly a sight to behold.
To achieve the highest of surface finishes each Hedron carbon goes through our Piano finish process that includes 12 coats of lacquer wet sanded and then polished to a mirror shine through my 10 stage sanding and polishing process. This process is carried through to the swivel base to ensure the most perfect piece possible.
For those that wish to customise their Hedron carbon further we offer full customisation to the upholstery offering a choice of leather or Alcantara with contrasting stitch options available
The Hedron carbon is a limited edition and only 55 will ever be made. Each one comes with their own engraved and numbered plaque detailing its edition number and specification, and includes a signed personal letter of authenticity.
