The Vulcan was conceived and conceptualized through my passion for aerospace design. Leveraging the inherent strength and beauty of carbon fiber, the Vulcan desk is the perfect marriage of engineering exactitude and sculptural form. With its tip seemingly defying gravity coupled with its low profile and swooping lines, the Vulcan desk simultaneously exudes power, elegance and refinement.

The matched carbon weave radiates from its centre, accentuating the Vulcan’s streamlined contours and bringing an extra sense of dynamism to each piece.

Solid copper accents each leg, seamlessly and simultaneously beautifying and fortifying. Longevity is a key tenet of my design philosophy and, unlike its namesake, this Vulcan is designed to stand the test of time.

Using technologies primarily found in the Formula One industry, the Vulcan appears to defy the laws of physics and pushes technical precision to its limits – at 2.5 metres wide, the Vulcan has been tested to support up to 200 kilograms at its centre with minimal deflection. This remarkable feat of torsional rigidity and dampening is made possible through the use of a core of aerospace-grade carbon up to 18 layers thick oriented in a quasi-isotropic pattern.

The Vulcan then undergoes a meticulous ten-stage Piano finishing process; after which it is perfected in a Nano Ceramic coating to ensure maximum scratch resistance. Whether for the home or the office, the Vulcan is a statement piece for those with an exacting eye and an appreciation for innovative materials and design at its most cutting edge.

The Vulcan desk is limited to 10 pieces and comes with a personalised engraved and numbered plaque detailing its edition number and specification, and includes a signed letter of authenticity.
